Graduation Lei PICK UP Wed June 14th

Parking for Graduation will be in Lot E 18 . Students must arrive at Alaska Airlines arena to begin lining up in the tunnels by 11:45. Leis will be available in the SW corner of the Alaska Airlines HEC Ed arena for pick up beginning about 12:00-12:40. 
 
Lei's are traditionally awarded AFTER the graduation ceremony has commenced, it's customary for family and friends to gather around the graduate and adorn graduates with leis of flowers. Flowers are presented by families to the graduates as part of the recessional –as graduates meet with families on the 2nd floor and/or outdoors for family and small group personal photos. 
 
Because there are staff and students with life-threatening allergic reactions to many flowers, they are not permitted in the narrow, warm ‘tunnels’ where 450 students are staged with staff prior to the procession.
 
Due to additional graduation ceremonies – Pick up is a small window. As it is a perishable item, please make every effort to pick up the Lei between 12:00 PM – 12:40 PM.
